Convention Information

As you plan for your events for 2018 and beyond, we would like to introduce you to Central Pennsylvania and Capital City Airport.  With a wide variety of attractions for your members, we believe this region will be a perfect place for your next convention.  Capital City Airport is a general aviation facility with the capability to meet your needs, and our team of FBO, maintenance, and airport staff stand ready to make your next visit memorable.

Central Pennsylvania is a terrific destination for groups.  From the historic sites of Gettysburg to the quaint villages of Amish Country in Lancaster to the chocolate tastes and theme park excitement of Hershey, there are activities for all interests. With a wide variety of hotels and restaurants in the area, Central PA is the perfect destination for your group.

Located in the middle of these attractions, Capital City Airport (CXY) is an ideal location for your association’s home base for your event.  Two runways, 5,000 and 4,000 feet in length means that we can accommodate the aircraft and dedicate one runway to any flying events you may have. Control Tower services from 7 am to 9 pm ensure that your activities will be integrated seamlessly with other activity on the airport.  Skyport Aviation, the FBO on the field, will gladly work with your group to accommodate any on-airport events you may have and to meet your fuel needs.  Should any of your group’s aircraft encounter unexpected issues, two based tenants, Cargill Aeronautical Academy & Service Center and Aircraft and Avionics Sales, are available to help resolve any problems.  With approximately 70 paved tie-down spots and opportunities to create additional tie-downs if needed, we believe that Capital City Airport can make your conference a memorable occasion for your attendees.

We would like to show this region to you.  Please contact us directly to schedule a familiarization tour of the airport and the region.  We look forward to the opportunity and appreciate your consideration.
